ambition.jpgThis is a blurry sneak-peak of the incoming social-oriented project of mine. Stay tuned for for more information, and that's it for now. I wish I could tell you more, but my muse will kill me if I will. And you don't want me to get killed, do you?

Working alot lately... No time for art and freestyle drawing at all. Sometimes I feel ok about that, 'cause being busy is kind of good nowadays. But still, you know...

One freakin' inspiring game! A masterpiece - all designers will admit that.

RUNKID +1

I got bored of that little child in the circle lately. I mean the brand is "RUNKID" not "RUNCHILD". So the little guy grew a bit, and now he's really running. Will replace all logos with this one soon

Say hi to my brother. Those of you, who track my art for a while now, might remember there was a website of Vaclav Marcenkevic in my portfolio. The website is gone now, but soon hopefully I'll create a brand new one with totally renewed content.

For now we are working on a cartoon. Deep moody and kinda spooky as most of my artwork. It's going to be my next step in animation and directing after His Own Image.

yes, i'm addicted

I hate myself for not knowing German language. It's because I think Germany got some great designers and potential customers that really like good design. I mean, how often it happens, when a client wants something and you give him some great ideas and designs. And he says 'no'. And then you give him some more ideas, and the 'no' thing happens again. Again and again...and when you are just desperate, you give him a few shitty ideas...and the guy picks one up.
This is the job for money, not for your own pleasure. And I think - every work has to be hobby-like. You have to do something that you really like to do, not what you are told to do just because you are payed.
123klan is a good example (no, they are not German :)). I can't find the text now on their website, it's really complicated. But I read there - "we work only with cool people. we don't bust our asses for money" or something like that. I think that is great positioning of yourself in business. That's how everyone should be.

Oh...and about Germany... I just like the "entire German style". You know...there are some most common design styles in UK, or France. Sometimes you can recognize the country the design piece is from.

I've become a part of Create and Promote Your Site team. Most of us (2) are based in Moscow. A great big city of opportunities. Yes, target audience is Russian part of internet or so-called ru-net. But exceptions always take place.

The work on our project is still in progress, however one of the websites is already launched. Won't tell you which one, until we complete the project, sorry. Yes, I am mean.

It was nice to find my work in the list of "45 Amazing Illustrations for Inspiration". Never applied my work there, and I don't know how they've found me, but still it's fine.
I find it strange, though, that a website dedicated to webdesign exposes a series of illustrations instead of "top 45 webdesign screenshots" or something

Today my portfolio was updated with background soundtrack written by Alexandr Kolomentsev aka The Phobia. This is not the first time we collaborate. He wrote the soundtrack for His Own Image and previous versions of my website (which I never had a chance to publish).

Mutated Logic - a young musical projects that was started in September 2007 by a drummer of Voice-Ex band Stanislav Sorokin and Aleksander Kolomentsev. The main idea was to play live drum'n'bass music.

The first track, called "checking Machine", was recorded in the underground studio in May 2007. The first live experience was Sound Machine festival in Narva. That was a rock festival and nobody understood how Mutated Logic could fit in there, but everybody liked the contrast in music styles.
In the end of summer 2008 accidently the whole Mutated Logic music archives where lost. That's the reason why the band is experiencing a rebirth now.
Some tracks where recovered from broken hard drive.
